Not completely.  It has issues too, particularly with warping on larger pieces.

Jason

Didn't we have a discussion about that material here a while back? I seem to recall that @bbussey printed some items and wasn't happy with the results. I seem to recall that the material is somewhat rubbery and there was shrinkage.

I may not be @bbussey but I absolutely refuse to use that material until I find a way to minimize the support material effect and control orientation.  My particular designs will not work with that stuff.  A also found the material to me more like glass when it does break.

Meh.

Significant shrinkage?  Could have been the pool.

This is a HOn30 flatcar I had done in FUD. I also ordered one in HDA just to see what it is. Ordered it with the supports still attached so I could cut them off not Shapeways.

First off 2 flatcars were drawn as one piece:

The order came it:

It isn't that bad, but the HDA is soft and they put the on the build plate at a strange angle. Here I already cut away one flatcar:

If it was printed flat so all the supports were under it might be better.

Wow, that looks like some work cutting off all of the support.

The black acrylate isn't rubbery.  But the resolution just isn't that good.  Definitely not workable for N scale modeling.

Copied from Chris's original post is this photo.  Figured it might be useful as folks proceed.

One thing I was trying to guess was wheel size.  On my phone it's hard to guess but I think it's pretty small when I try to use a man's leg as a gauge.  At present I have a 24" as my smallest option and I'm thinking that shouldn't be too far off.

And the lighting that can be seen on the upper right and rear corners.  One appears to be a four-way lantern and the other a headlight.  Anyone identify that lantern/ light?  Is it possibly a carbide lamp with what appears to be a control knob on it?  Is there some standard to this in color and use that I should know but don't? :|  Also, is it an optical illusion or is it possible that the headlight is attached to the same bracket?  Maybe it just gets a headlight in the roof center like Chris did. :)

I'd say the headlight is in the middle and it looks like a matching one on the rear. Wonder why the lanterns are only on one side?

I've been searching and it seems to be a "caboose lantern" or end of train light.  Found very similar profile examples that were 3-way with a mounting bracket fired by kerosene, gas, and finally electric.  I saw ones with red facing direct ahead with each side either amber or maybe green.  That's making a little sense.  I guess which side might not be too important or maybe it's for hand access to the engineer who seems to be on the right.  The one on the front seems slightly askew where the rear seems to be square to the body.

Maybe the one on the front is a "class light", and the railroad only uses one?  On most railroads, this would be an extra, and should get a white light/flag on the front.   I hope they're not running it as a scheduled train, with multiple sections, and a green class light!

There may be two markers on the rear, as the far corner can't be seen.  Or maybe not, there's no way to tell.

What I noticed first was the starting crank.  That really dates it.
