Thanks, @Ed Kapuscinski!  That means a lot to me.  This morning, I finished the front wall and weathered the dock. 



While I was at it, which may not show well in the photo above, I pulled the roof, which is still separate, and painted the soffit and fascia with a Hunter Green spray bomb to match the truck in the photo below that I recently painted.  It’s a company color now!  Eventually, I’ll paint the doors and windows of this warehouse with this green color, too.  I was nervous to paint the roof trim, because I figured that if I sprayed it from the underside direction, I might be able to coat the soffit and fascia while keeping most of the overspray off of the finished and weathered roof surface.  I was concerned that if I masked the roof edge that might wick paint, and the texture of the roof would make a good masking job tedious.  Thankfully, no masking and no overspray. Whew.

Out of production, but Walthers made that Santa Fe heavyweight car.  It was not offered in the bicentennial scheme, though. Saw one for sale at $150.00 within the last year or so, and I’d have to strip and somehow paint that bicentennial scheme.  Nope, on both accounts.

The south wall is finished, including weathering.  Excluding the obvious scenic materials to plant the structure, detailing, and a sidewalk to be built by the parking lot, I’m putting a fork in this project.

Agreed.  I’ve been working on the scenery around that signal since that photo was taken and have just the perfect idea for it, if it works.  Stay tuned.

Good eye.  I crushed that plastic handrail with these clumsy hands while I was trying to get the guardrail into the ground without breaking the glued-down crossing signal.  I went through the kit, and I think I have enough parts to cobble another one together.  On the bright side, I was hesitating to mask and paint the windows and doors on the warehouse, because of fear of breaking that handrail.  Problem solved!
