I don’t recall the color of your fascia being as in your face, and I would bet that I’m trying to find a color closer to what you have.  My colorblindness doesn’t allow me to perfectly describe what I’m looking for other than to say I think I want a darker green.  The hard part is that my wife likes this green, although she’s only looking at the color and not taking it in the context of a fascia color.  I wonder if Seaboard Air Line Green (similar to Pullman Green) would work, but she doesn’t like that shade of green.

Thanks,
DFF

Not sure if "darker green" or more of a "grayer green" is what you're looking for. Something closer to a color found in nature but that is neither too bright nor darkens the room too much.

This probably is not a great representation of the actual colors, but here’s the fascia color in the foreground, the SuperLeaf product in the background, and SAL Green on GP9 No. 1053.

Thoughts?  My layout is designed around the former SAL mainline that ran from Virginia to Florida, so . . .

Anyone tried Go-Away-Green for this purpose yet?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_Away_Green.
Actually seems to be a family of camouflage-ish green tints.

Commerical paint colors that come close were compiled by someone as:
Aganthus Green, Benjamin Moore
Spice Garden, Behr
Pale Jade, Glidden
Cooking Apple Green, Farrow & Ball
Relish, Sherwin-Williams
George
NKPH&TS #3628

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

George, what a coincidence!  Ed Kapuscinski suggested that very color in this thread some time ago, and I was coming back to find that info.  Thanks for the suggested paint matches.

So far this is the only color other than black I've used:

Looks green, but is called "black bamboo".

Just throwing out ideas.

I haven't checked in here in a while, but fantastic progress on the pike Dave!!

I've been trying fascia paint as well and I definitely lean towards darker shades rather than lighter ones. I really like LKO's suggestion for your pike.  It looks to be close to Behr's Lakeside Pine, but having done some house painting this fall, I can attest that online color chips can be very misleading....  Maybe get a few different quarts and apply them to different fascia sections -- then let us vote.

Go Away Green needs to, well . . . go away.  I used Behr Gallery Green, as suggested by one article as a close match for the Disney color.  Whether it matches or not, I hate it.  Too light.

Like Gary, I prefer darker fascia colors, so this experiment is a fail.  I also picked up a couple of color chips while at the paint store.  On the far right is Gallery Green (the alleged Go Away Green match).  To its left is what I think probably is closer to Go Away Green, but it’s still too light for me.  The left two colors are more what I had envisioned: I want a fascia that is close to the color of my trees, so when the fascia shows in the background, e.g., A&R shelf, it blends in as background foliage.

My wife describes the far left chip as “poopy,” so I probably won’t go there.  So, I think a possible contender is the chip second from left and seen below taped to the fascia, to give a comparison with the first green color I tried, as well as with my trees.

I hate that Gallery Green so much that I may repaint it with the first green color just to hide it, even though that means that portion of the fascia would get a minimum of two more coats of paint.  Ugh.

Behr has a similar color ..you can upload your layout picture to their website and try the colors ..

https://www.behr.com/consumer/colors/paint/visualizer?colors=M410-7

This one is called A Snip of Parsley -- M370-6

Anyway -- this post is just an example of how you could visualize the layout from a macro level rather than just a swatch ..   good luck

This is fun.  Watching Dave pick out colors is like watching a vegan scan the menu at a barbecue place.

Have you considered just asking your wife?
