I’ll give .05 a try at 23 degrees and see how it seems. Might also try it at .03. Toma (and you) have pretty amazing results so I think he’s got the experience.

I know that some guys have good luck with layer heights of 0.03mm or a bit less, but I don't have a lot of success with anything less than 0.05mm.  And I've tried!  Lots of experimentation with the same parts are different layer thicknesses.  Maybe it's down to exposure time, not sure.

Definitely going to give 23° tilt a shot though.  Chris' results have me convinced that's the magic number.

I had the motor slid up so the stock drive shaft would work, but moving it back left roof for truck screws and pick-up wires. Those are Kato FEF tender trucks under it awaiting new side frames.

The finish on that is exquisite!!  Nice model too Chris, exactly what we'd expect.

I've been printing parts on the old Photon for the last week or so...  I don't know why I'm wasting time with it and not firing up the Mini-4K.  I suppose I should find the sheet I downloaded for the Siraya Tech resin I have for it and just have at it.

Nice work...  Still stunned by the finish on this model.

Oh, absolutely...  It'll be just like it was when I got the Photon.  Had it for almost a year before I started using it!  Well past that now on the SM4K, need to get a move on it, or I might have a SM8K before I even use the SM4K!

Well I use my printer and then let the prints sit for a year before finishing them     Not completely true... I don't finish them

@Chris333 it just occurred to me on the last few photos that you might prime your models with the supports on? Is that how you do all of your models?
Do you prime them out of the printer? Or do you let them cure on supports then prime them?

I’m getting to a point... I have seen on my personal prints, that primed prints warp so much less than non primed prints. I don’t know the correlation but I have seen it first hand. I haven’t tried doing prints and then quickly priming them on supports. I wonder if curing “a little” with supports and a quick prime will keep the warp to a minimum?

Those sideframes are cured first. I just primed so I could tell if I liked them or not. They were simple so I left the supports on. Most of the time I remove and do any sanding before curing. The way the sidefames are there will be little sanding.

That bridge at the top of the falls is the ex P&LE branch up to Carbon Limestone. A few years ago I tried to go to this waterfall and the place was littered with do not trespass signs so I skipped it. Now they turned around and made it into a recreation area.

The P&LE branch went up the hill from Youngstown to reach the many limestone quarries up here. This map should open right where the falls are:
