I have wanted one of these since I first saw a photo in the May 1969 "Model Railroader", and finally was able to "score" one off eBay this past December. It is a Rivarossi "V160". it came with 2 long (23") passenger cars, it did not run, and was missing its buffers:

I had a couple of motors and geared axle sets left over from an AHM Fairbanks Morse "C Liner", which turned out to be drop in replacements. I wired both motors together in series, so they help each other pick up current. It runs very well; as smooth and quiet as any of my Pittman-powered Weaver locos.
I figured I would never be able to find any other parts I might need, and as it turned out, roofing nails (with a little filing) worked as buffers.

Have been trying to update some details, such as hand grabs, lift rings, lights, etc. The die work is ok, it's just a very "sparse" (1970s vintage) model.

Still have a long way to go, but it's been a fun project so far...
