Anyone have their Bestine leak? One of my metal containers oozed out around the bottom, but it looks like the ooze is wax.

Heptane seems like a liquid which will penetrate even the smallest openings.  If your container has crimped or soldered seams it is possible that there is a microscopic opening in the seam which allows the Bestine to leak.  I assume that the Bestine is not virgin but has been used for de-waxing some items. Once the Bestine which leaked out evaporates, the wax will remain.

I store my Bestine in glass.

How do you seal the top?  Over time, I usually lose solvents stored in glass bottles, but my 16 oz. Bestine can (5-plus years old) is still intact.
