Wow, thanks!  But I don't know about all that...  The RGS has been done very well by many in multiple scales, and unlike my attempt to fit The Standard Railroad of the World into an impossibly small space, there is nothing at all unique about what I'm doing here.

Ridgway benchwork update...  This is how the layout appears when you first come down the stairs to the basement so I wanted a nice, sweeping fasica curve to guide the eye into the Ridgway engine terminal.



Heavy stuff laminating the foam.  That UP5 panel is lying loose until the fascia is painted and will be straightened then. The RGS bumper sticker came from the Galloping Goose Historical Society in Dolores, CO...it will be affixed permanently when the fascia is painted.

A second portable light would have help you align the foreground tree shadow vectors with the ones in the background    , but I must say the color match is perfect!

Oh it's not my video I just happened on the waterfall and then searched to learn more and found this video. First thing I thought was "this looks like a layout", but it's real life. Even has some Malcolm Furlow up on the cliff

Ran the first train completely around the room tonight.  It takes about 5 minutes to get to the same starting point.  The lift-out section works like a charm, including triggering a dead section on each approach when it's lifted out of place.  I have a lot of cleaning up to do, but when that's done I'll do a video update of the whole layout including a demonstration of the lift-out bridge.
