With the extended weekend, I hope to get started on a sizeable project.  Here are 20 Walthers Ballast Hoppers that I got this week.  They will be painted and decaled for CSX.  I will also be adding solar panels to the sides and tops per the prototype.

Recently finished my SP Kodachrome SW1500 bash just in time for the MT announcement of the exact same unit. ;) Oh, and after who knows how many years, Microscale just came out with the correct font for the large "SPSF" logos after all my efforts with custom/modified decals  :RUEffinKiddingMe:

If not for intrepid kitbashers like you, nobody would be able to have factory-made models of what you slaved over. Hail! Hey, just as I'm getting ready to decal my kitbashed Pennsy POS21 obs, Bachman comes out with it. Hail hail!

After an interesting journey via the USPS, my latest True Scale Coupler pockets are finally here.

I've only had a chance so far to check the adapter for the Atlas ore car and I like it so much I even washed the model.  :)

I hope to post more on the other thread tonight.

Here are some more progress photos. The Double D ranch is coming along nicely. As is the P.M.T. complex (I have a bunch more trailers to add- need to put them together). Next up are trees, shrubberies, signage and other manner of details.

Thanks,
Wolf

Richie:  What IS that thing in your opening picture?

If it's a switcher, why the dynamic brakes?

If it's a road unit, why the low hood?

If it's an export unit, why the tall cab?

Give it a low-profile cab, and narrow gauge 3-axle trucks, and I'd buy a half dozen in N scale.  It would be right at home on my coal trains.

Cat-powered EMD GP20D, built by Morrison - Knudsen.  Lower hood and higher cab for better visibility.

Jerry:  Thank you!  I still say that, with a lower cab, it would be great for my narrow gauge.

Maybe NarrowMinded and his prototyping machine could make replacement trucks for standard gauge mechanisms?
