Given the problems MTL has had getting the chassis, I'm not surprised.  I've got 2 NS from the first outing so I think I'm set.

Judging from the ad not a reliable supply...  :|

Was hoping a hood mounted handrail version would be in the future... Need some MNS and Minnesota Transfer love....  :D

That is a real bummer. I like these engines. I scooped up as many as I could when they were available.

I guess that having new chassis produced would not be a profitable venture.  Too bad.
At least they have molds for the shell and trucks - maybe they will continue making them available to the advanced modelers who want to build their own models.

If that shocked you, did you see the price? The price for the last run of SW1500's will be $194.95  with a deposit of $48.73 due now.
That is for a DCC Ready locomotive. That sound you just heard was my jaw hitting the floor  :x

Hopefully they fixed the frame problem where the installed decoder was shorting to the frame.  I seem to recall that @Ed Kapuscinski and few other TRW members experienced that problem with the last run of this locos.

Someone at MTL really likes Southern Pacific.  So much so that they accidentally mislabeled the Southern item.

I'd love to have Kodachrome, Cotton Belt, and WP, but with that price I'll have to think about it.
