Looking at the Baltimore Penn Station....

Difficulty compared to say, Walthers or Kibri kits?

While I am not familiar with the Penn Station kit, I have a number of CMR structure kits.  Consider these as more of a pre-cut craftsman kit, that requires some labor to finish.  A fair amount of scraping and sanding is necessary on the front surface of each piece to clean off the plastic swarf that piles up on either side and at the end of the laser path.  Also, if the Penn Station kit utilizes different layered pieces to form each wall (like their other kits do), you will probably want to clean up the edge of the openings, as the laser will leave what looks like a saw mark on the edge.  Plus, the laser cannot cut a sharp inside corner, so those will all need to be cleaned up as well with a file.  I really wish they would choose a different material, like PE brass, for the window frames, as the thick acrylic is a little too heavy for N scale.  Having said all of that, the result will be an absolutely beautiful structure when finished.

Yeah, I noticed that the railings on Roger Holmes' CMR skyscraper (photos in the current WU thread) appear to be several feet thick!  Fellow NTRAK member has several of these buildings on his module and ignoring some of the oversize detail they are very impressive and unique.  Replacing some of the grossly out-of-scale parts with something more in-scale (like using brass railings) would make these unique structures even more impressive.

It is too bad that CMR does not provide more in-scale details, but adding PE details like railings or windows would make their already-steep price even higher.

I bought the single track HO Lift Bridge a few years back and it was way over my novice head. I had a fellow modeler put it together that put together military stuff (does air, land & sea). He had never built anything like it and wouldn't be for the faint of heart, though that was merely his opinion.

It's definitely a beautiful bridge, but its definitely a little more delicate than other buildings. I was disappointed that double stacks wouldn't fit through the bridge without having to remove the 45* supports and even then it was a little tight.  Now the bridge is a shelf queen as where it was used, the module was converted to n scale with Central Valley Models bridges.

CMR kits are among the easiest if not a little tedious. They are wonderful models.
