I'm wanting to get some metal wheels and there seems to be a shortage of 3610-100's.

Does anyone know what's happening, or indeed where I can get some?

Have you checked M B Kleins.They had a fairly large assortment last week.

Des Plaines Hobbies had some 3610s on their website as of a few minutes ago, but I think only 12 packs- although never hurts to give them a call.  I would suspect that not many retailers are going to stock 100 packs (easy way to tie up $$ in inventory, and the only time they will sell is when someone with a lot of rolling stock decides to rewheel everything), you might need to special order, or get them direct from FVM, if they do that.

On the Fox VAlley Models page for wheels, the 3610's in both 12 and 100 packs are listed as "Backordered"

This matches with the lists posted in the "September In Stock" lists posted on their Facebook page

I seem to remember seeing somewhere that new stocks of wheels are inbound, but I'm not sure where that was.

So by that it should be very soon that FVM has new stock and the shops should have them not long after that.

They're supposed to be on the water in September. (Of course they could end up being stuck on one of the bankrupt Hanjin ships???)
