Can anyone tell me more about the gondola FVM announced at the show?

It's the P-S high-side gondola model that was announced in Springfield.  Look at the N Scale Convention Report thread for photos of the pilot model.

As Bryan said. It's a Pullman Standard Rotary dump coal gon. Built during the 1970's, I believe most were used in the west.

Apparently the new Walthers structure is a two stall brick engine house, looks to be a Milwaukee Road prototype, there are photos on the N Scale Supply web page.

I enjoyed myself at the show.  Bought a trestle kit from Hunterline and a bunch of K&S brass shapes for scratch and master work.

The MILW substation looks very interesting, and I have a vacant spot where it could fit very nicely.  Will have to see about the price...

Wow... talk about an eye-popper... that MILW power station looks great.  Will definitely need to get one... though those insulators seem a bit oversized...

They announced one at the manufacturers breakfast at Roanoke in 2014 but nada since....

Did they ever release the HS Potash car they announced? Or the NSC Hopper?
Seems the last thing they've brought to market was the coal gon....

They had some flyers at their both for NSC 4275 and 4300 cu ft Potash Hoppers, but nothing on well cars.

Jerry:  I don't have the dimensions, but the input side insulators were big.  That side was 100,000 volts.  Those look about right, although it seems to be hard to find good pictures of the top of a substation...

Does anyone have experience with their other N scale buildings?  They've apparently been around a while, but I don't remember ever hearing them mentioned.

I have built a number of Custom Model Railroads (CMR) building kits over the last 8 years or so.  They are very well engineered, very well detailed and come with easy to follow instructions.  They are laser engraved acrylic sheets with architectural detail built up in as many as five layers.  The acrylic takes the engraving really well but assembling is not for the faint of heart.  I use Tenax applied with a glass pipette which creates an instant bond meaning you need to have the right parts (many look the same but most feature a laser engraved part number) in the right alignment before you apply the Tenax to the joint.  I assume any of the other acrylic compatible adhesives also create instant (and very hard to undo) joints.

The CMR webpage doesn't have this kit listed yet.  The rep at Indy said they just assembled the Milw kits the week before and hadn't yet created instructions.  Since their instructions feature extensive photos it might be a while before these are released.  One nice thing about the CMR site is that you can view the complete instruction book for each kit on-line before you make a purchase. I would recommend that you take a look at a few of the instructions such as the Fyfe Building which will give you a good feel for the assembly process.

I have used regular spray cans of Testors, Tamiya and Rustoleum on the acrylic with no issues.  You can see a number of the CMR buildings in my posting in the recent Large Downtown Building thread.

Bottom line-- I highly recommend CMR kits.
