Union Pacific early challenger drawings needed!

Does anyone by chance have drawings of the UP 3800 class early challengers in their books? I need dimensions for the tender to work off of. This is not the same class as the later challengers like 3985.
This will be the next tender made out of mdf like my turtle back tendered 2-10-2. Hey Bob Gilmore, do you have them?

I think the information you seek may be in this book:

I think I have what you need. I'll have to look for it. I also have some boiler shells for you to look at when you come up in a couple of weeks.

Adam @draskouasshat , Sorry, I SHOULD have drawings for the early Challenger, but I don't.  However, if you're interested in only the tender, I have several references dealing with UP tenders I'll look at...however, I'm almost sure the references are photos, not scale drawings.

Cheerio!

Hey Adam, go ahead and have Otto send you what he has as I still can't find them. I know when we talked about these several years ago, I had them laid out.

Adam, I found some very crude drawings, with basic measurements for the "Baby" Challenger...and the tenders...both the first and second run.  What are you looking for exactly?

I also found some very clear prototype photos of various angles of that tender, as well as some good photos of an HO model of the tender, top, bottom, front, back and both sides.  Will those help?

Let me know and I'll put it together for you tomorrow evening.

Cheerio!

That would be fantastic Bob! I'm looking for tender height, width, truck spacing plus anything on top of those that I can reference and make sure this things right.

Thank you!
