I didn't check against an X58 but I will. The ride height does appear to be spot on. Body mounted Accumates in coupler boxes screwed to the floor, so easily replaceable with MTL 1015s. The mounting point is outward to simulate the cushioned underframe. If not, the MTL 1016 will do as a stand-in. The end is notched to accommodate the coupler box, but not noticeable because the etched end platform is directly above it.
This is a plate B car, and superior to the MTL car in all aspects. The MTL model most noteably suffers from compressed-height syndrome.
