I originally ordered an M1a and M1b and then changed to 2 M1b's when the post-war description was added.  I will probably order an M1a as soon as my wallet recovers.

Just got my pair so...uh in maintaining alignment with our SPF goals of never being satisfied, here's my first complaint!
So, uh...these have dummy couplers up front. Which LOOK GREAT...but since I wanted to doublehead these...gotta find a solution.

That ONE thing aside...these are magnificent.

I have 2 coming, and I'm not even a SPF. Both early, one undec for possible use of the mechanism for another project although after looking at these pictures, I could heavily weather the Undec and you would never know. I can't see lettering anywhere but the Keystone on the front on those.

hnnnnnnghhhhhhhhh that Keystone on the smokebox of the M1a looks like the numbers are smaller and resembles the Bachmann plate.


STILL MINOR GRIPES. STILL WORTH IT 100%.

I don't think there's a backup light either.

So, the website says there should be a backup light, but at Klein's today, when testing both the A and B, there was no light on when reversing.

Were you running in DC or DCC?  Perhaps that makes the difference.
