Thanks TLOC. I'll likely take you up on that, perhaps. Your picture looks a bit scary though.  ;)

I'm having trouble with my picture hosting site. For an update on the Ohio N Scale weekend show, I'll refer you to my posting on TB.

No problem, glad to help. I have noted the date for Sunday, TrainFest.

Trying to get things in order for the Ralston (Omaha) show next weekend. I hope to build a "cassette" for the layout so that I can switch one industry normally reached by Jim's modules. It'll be a different experience doing a show by myself. My biggest fear: bathroom breaks.  :scared:

Thanks fellas.

Gonna be hard to leave the layout when I'm only one guy.  :-X

Since the Modutrak layout will not be there this year :RUEffinKiddingMe:, I'd be happy to help out on Saturday, and possibly Friday (but gotta get to Beecherfest Friday night!)

Watch out as Trainfest may try to charge for your electrical drop since you can't volunteer man hours to their cause !

Getting ready to pack up for the Ralston (Omaha) show this weekend. Time, once again, to cram the tiny clown car full of my "coffins" and head for lands west. I was not really able to get anything new for the layout done. With my son's pending open house next weekend, I've spent nearly all my free time on projects here at home - trying, however vainly, to get the house more presentable. I'll spend the last few hours today just retro - fitting my module covers (coffin lids) as they are falling apart due to poor first time construction. They are not pretty, but they do help protect scenery during moving.

Galesburg RR days will be the 4th weekend in June. It will be fun to put all the layout's modules together again with Jim. It is unfortunate that the St. Louis prototype meet falls on the same weekend this year. We will miss it. But it will be nice to be back in the town that inspired us.

Between the train shows and the open house, its quite a busy first part of summer! Who says train season is only during the cold weather months?

I originally wasn't planning on going to the Ralston Show, but knowing this layout will be there, I decided to make some time.  I'll be there within the first few hours tomorrow.

Stopped by the Galesburg City Job and said hi to Bill and Jim. Beautiful set up and as I mentioned last year the height of the layout is impressive.

Thanks for sharing this at Trainfest

Same here - as I mentioned when I visited the layout has been a big inspiration to my trying a little N scale switching project.  A very impressive layout!

And neither of you got pictures?  Ok, fork over your TRW Man Cards - that's one corner snipped off.

In their defense, not much has changed. I'll try to get some pictures posted later this week. But next year... See us in April. Jim is re-doing his modules and I have a couple new structures in the works. And I need to get those damn crossing gates lit. Will see you at either the Lincoln square or Decatur shows. We'll have to get our our schedule posted.
