Which Micro-Trains Coupler for Kato SD45?

I checked the MTL conversion chart, but it doesn't list Kato's SD45 loco.

Anyone know? Dee's no help.

Hmm... I'm guessing
either the 2001 or the
2004...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
"It works! It works!"

If it's from the older runs (no snow plow)  then it's the 1015.  If it's from the last couple years then you need to put 1015 shanks inside a 2004 box.

I have a couple of the newer run SD45s and I run 1015s in the 1015 boxes. Works great. You just have to trim the small squares out of the corners of the coupler opening.

I've done the same as Karl. Only takes a couple minutes.

I agree with using 1015 shanks in 2004 boxes. I've tried using the 1015s in 1015 boxes (in the SD70ACe's), but the box is too thick and the clip keeps popping out. I've also tried sanding the 1015 boxes but that is a pain and takes more time than I'm willing to invest now.

Can 2004 be used in a 1015 box? Wondering if its possible, not for the SD45 but just in general. Otherwise will have a bunch of 1015 boxes and 2004 shanks lying around. :)

I just looked again, and there is the SD45 listed on page 4 for me. Shoulda scrolled down, but I thought pg 3 was the last one because of the big, empty space after the SD40-2.

Hmm... Thanks for
clearing that up...
