Every time this thread pops up to the top it makes me smile: The subject line is really dating us old farts.  The white courtesy phones went the way of the pay-phones and the dodo birds - they are long gone. Some younger people might have never seen such a device.  :D  We also no longer "tape" TV shows, play records, or dial phones (just to mention few anachronistic phrases).  :)

Might explain why no one from MT has posted on this thread.  They've been looking all over Oregon, and can't find a white courtesy phone.  Maybe if we asked them politely to post something on facebook.....

Vinyl records are becoming the hottest trend in music.  I have a friend that restores old Thorens players and arms and has means of reviving the worst albums.  He spends twice what I do on trains.  IMHO nothing can truly replace analog music.

I wonder if that is because of the "analog sound" they produce?  There is something warm about music from LPs.  It might be the equalization they used and the fact that the frequency response of the phono cartridge falls of at higher frequencies.

Try putting a MT employee name in the thread, like @Shipsure or @Bigdaddy .
