the "Goofy" trucks were fabricated like Arch Bar freight trucks, cars had them until replaced by the
NJDOT Push-Pull trains.
they rode fine.
the Long Distance,or PJ cars were rarely in NJ Comuter service,it was a really rare to see them off
the PJ trains in the late 60s,they had Commonwealth Top Equalized trucks.they did fill out the long
distance trains when needed.
the other trucks were also a Commonwealth design with cast frames and drop equalizers, all Stillwell
cars rode Better than the P-S Comet cars that replaced them.
the nicest models were by NWSL in the early 70s,but only in HO.
there was a start up outfit-- "Stillwell Cars" in the early 90s that was planning on making All versions
of Stillwell cars in Injection Molded Plastic, they claimed to be located in NY State, but cant recall where ?
they produced exactly ZERO Cars if memory is correct, and may have been an Investment Scam ??
like Contenental Flyer,or the Firm that was going to produce Heavywieght Cars in HO Plastic around
the late 80s,dont recall the name they used ?
