Can any of any our resident font experts identify what's been used for "DTTX 888293" on this patch-out?

Thanks!

Looks like Helvetica (or one of the dozens of clones). Either bold or heavy.

. . . 42 . . .

Agreed. Helvetica Bold.

Probably even genuine Linotype (Adobe) Helvetica Bold - the 'X' is correct. Clones usually tweak rarely-used characters like 'X', 'J' and 'Q' to get around the artwork copyright rules.

I should quickly add: watch out for the kerning between the 'D' and 'T'. "Kerning" is a negative space between the letters to make them graphically balanced. You'll notice that the top left of the 'T' intrudes slightly into the space for the 'D'. Must be from a high-quality lettering system.

Now... what about the font for the "Rooster" chalk art?   :D
