Kato SD40-2 mid lights

Looking for some help on lights for a Kato SD40-2 mid!  A link to a thread or someone that had fixed this problem.  Bought off ebay.  Engine runs fine but not lights either direction.  Tilting engine side to side, lights just flicker very briefly!  Any and @ll help would be much appreciated!

That does sound like it has a decoder which has the analog mode enabled, but the headlights were turned off last time it was operated on DCC.

Im a DC guy and there was nothing in description about it being dcc but it looks like circuit board is not a Kato?  It must be DCC?  Thanks to All!  Because Im DC, I didnt notice the board until i took another shell off.  Thanks again!

If the board doesn't look like this (it has only few components on it), then it is most likely a decoder.
