Well I can't seem to find a prototype for some of my well cars, or I don't have the correct containers, I will have to go with a Excess Height NS 86' double door Boxcar... So here is my prototype photo:

Does anyone know of a white ink pen that would have a fine/ultra fine point to be able to get the print on the top of doors (done with spray can) or suggest another way to do it ?

I just found an ultra fine Sharpie with white paint (not ink) a Michaels.  It looks promising for graffiti lettering.

Here is my entry, I think I'm done going back at it.  The prototype car is almost brand new/clean from the pictures I chose to work from, so it was basically just getting the graffiti that had to be done.  The tags were done by hand, using ultra fine point Sharpies, paint markers from DecoColor, and some paint with a #15/0 paint brush.

I have used oil paints to weather quite a few of my N Scale cars and locos. I have successfully sprayed Testors Dullcoat over the oil once it had dried and between applications of oil washes. It works well.
