Quick question. The coupler pockets are not usable with MT product? Your note says they are only McHenry and Accumate compatible.

The coupler pockets are "technically" usable with MT products. I say that because I do not yet have 100% confidence of spring actuated spring coupler movement.

But, with the most current revision on the store, the coupler boxes will fit MT couplers (the ones from truck mount couplers) with the original springs, and they have the little pocketed areas for the nub on MTs.
I would say I'm about 90% confident that it will work properly without much modification as long as the instructions are followed: (Bestine bath and graphite coloring of the insides). I'm still doing a little bit of testing work to see if I can get it close to 100% (ready out of the box).

Cool, though I prefer my couplers stay in the box. ☺

Would you like it so that its trim to fit? Maybe like 10 in a row and you can just cut to your specific application?

I'm building a large layout, and sometimes I do a good job filing them down and sometimes not so much. It would be nice to just cut from a strip, slip them under and keep going. I think it would be a real time saver, and honestly I can't believe Atlas and other companies that make track don't offer these.

So yes, strips of ten would be great! And the price seems fair too, but if these sound unreasonable I understand.

Update: I did a quick test and it appears I was wrong on the price, with the cheapest possible material (white strong and flexible, unpolished) a package of 4 tie strips (40 ties) would cost at minimum $7.71 (the same cost to me) I would price it probably at $7.95.

The main issue is that these "thin ties" take up a lot of space and volume which make the price so expensive. I can upload it to my store if you want but it doesn't seem very economical when you can buy a package of Evergreen styrene for $3 and make hundreds of ties from that. Let me know what you think?

I guess it's too much per tie, I thought it was a good idea. Big thanks for looking into it though, I love your work and look forward to more of your stuff!

I see that Wutter is offering a roof kit for Rock Island's "Christine".    Who's DL-109 does it fit - Walthers or Con-Cor?

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

George

From his site;

Designer Wuttermelon says:

This was designed for a customer to be used with Walthers DL109s, however in this case, specifically for an EMD re-engined Rock Island model (621). The circle cutouts are designed to fit Gold Metal Models etched fan grills for GP units.

Beat me to it Jon  :D

Yes, the DL109 roof replacement is designed for the slightly newer Life-Like/ Walthers DL109 based on the curvature of the roof. However, modifying either model would require major roof surgery anyway, it may also fit a Con-Cor if that is what you have, George.

No idea, but since I ordered a copy for myself, I'm going to look at doing the final version. Probably going to shave off those huge side vents, add new rivet strips on the panels and filling in all those windows.

Ooh, that reminds me. I've got another good one since you're doing stuff like this (although, @Lemosteam might call dibs).

The conversion pieces for EL, PC and Conrail RS3ms.

There are two main styles, the later "easy" one:

And the much more "charming" early one:

placed order for your SP light sets as a sample, but 2 main questions; what and why Bestine bath? and do have a scanner yet? because... can you take 1/87 cars, trucks and scan them and scale them down to N scale? and reprint.
