Okay I am in love with the coupler pockets!!

I have wondered why no one makes printed coupler pockets? If these are a success, could you make other versions? Here are some ideas

-Coupler pockets for locomotives to give them a more scale distance apart, especially ones for Intermountian F units
-Cushion pockets for high cube boxcars and the Athearn 50' PS-1
-Pockets with adapters for specific cars like the Trainworx ones that were just released, for hoppers and tank cars where there is not enough- or any -material to mount them to.
-Last but not least, a drilling template printed with each batch if tapping is needed.

I think you mean for closer coupling, not further apart, right?

Exactly, unless someone needs a mod to let them run on 4" curves!

I always picture an n scale person trying to get a running start to cross between units.

Okay I'll try and address all the questions one at a time:

There will need to be a plethora of different coupler boxes to fit every single model that you guys are looking, the picture I posted is more of a "generic" cushion draft gear box that someone over on Trainboard requested. With respect to the specific models:

I have some MDC Husky Stacks that I can modify this box to fit perfectly- stay tuned.
I do not have any Athearn ethanol tank cars but if I am given some measurements I can make some changes and put out a version for that.
I am planning on a "short box" version for rolling stock body mounts that should also fit well on a lot of rolling stock whether glued to the underframe or tap and screwed.

Not sure on the Intermountain F-units, I can take a look at it if you have some pictures/measurements I can analyze.

So apart from the "generic" body mount and cushion draft gear box, most other models will require some type of modified box to fit perfectly.
