After about 6 weeks of work, I'm finished building my next EP-2.

This one will be E-4 in the cigar scheme.

All the details, tuning and DCC are done.
While the building is done, there is a lot left to do:
air erasing, priming, painting, decals, window glass, wind deflectors, blacking the wheels, and installing headlights.

Final step will be to paint the handrails to match the SD24s.   Then, as documented in the above URL.....

- Build two more mechanisms;  build more RSD-15 and RSD-7 shells to fit on them / swap onto the mech's;  I have all the parts

Wonder how long it'll take me to get through those projects....  as the above URL
documents, I started on this first Alligator in Dec 2012......  :)

I tried following your article, but it all binds up on one of the trucks, and was wondering if you had any suggestions as to what to look for.

Went to the CRRM yesterday for their Dinosaur Train.



Found a couple new pieces of equipment by the round house.





Apparently someone sold some cars that they were using for some of the excursions and they bought these to replace them.

While I was there, I had an overwhelming urge to shoot the nose of the DRGW F9.



Not sure what was up with that, but I'm glad to get it out of my system.  :)

In addition to going 1 for 2 on TCS CN-GP decoder installs, I also laid more track on the CSX Hanover Subdivision, changed over trucks and couplers on 16 Western Maryland 90 ton hoppers and 2 cabeese (1 B&O, 1 WM), and built 6 DigCom Designs trailers.

Making cardstock stand ins for my CPM module which is part of my larger build thread in the layout design section. meeting with an engineer on the real deal in a few weeks which will help me continue on to the terraforming on the CPM module.

First weekend of July in the house, and it was a good one to use the basement to escape the humididty. The Idaho Belt benefitted from some special attention to track layout, super elevating curves, and soldering feeders, then resoldering  some of said feeders after manhandling the track into place.

Someone said use Glidden Gripper when it really needs to stay in place.  :D   I borrowed from Robert3985 on this curve and tried his super elevation method, though with track cement in addition to super glue on the outside edge, thus the need to weight down the track.

The other super elevated turn is not yet ready for gluing down. But it will look good once done. .020 styrene is under the outside edges of the concrete ties here.

The super elevation is apparent  even from the end of the blob. This view may be hidden by a Belina drop to keep operators from gawking, but I may leave it off and add recycled paper storage and unloading to the rear of the mill.

I am impressively impressed by all the shared work earlier in the thread.  Chuck, ripping off Rix looks like I can rip off your rip off. Phillip, nicely done, but 2 years for a burger is a long wait. Not gonna get much tip with that. Adam, love the trucks. Looks like the mill is ready for deliveries.
