I did do the math for 36' cars. The Solano was 423' overall. but that includes the docking aprons.

How many tracks are on it?..Why no rails?...This thing is awesome!

The customer for this one preferred to install his own rails. There are four tracks. As these were all wood, with massive timbers throughout, my guess is that the rails were spiked directly to the decking. Also, I did not have any Z track around, which would also fit into the grooves. I have plenty of code 40, which would do just fine.

Is that as pricey as I think it is?

Created a coupler pocket for the Bachmann H16-44 that accepts Micro-Trains 1015 couplers, which by default will accept Accu-Mates and McHenry couplers.

Yes.

After soaking in Bestine? If so it maintains alot of its translucency compared to FUD...

I finally got a chance to go through more of my collection for weeding out.   I'm up to 350 Micro-Trains cars to unload.  :scared:

I also got back on the computer to visit some of my 3D drawings.  Hopefully I can get an order into Shapeways in the near future to try out the new material.

It hasn't been soaked yet.  There was no reason to soak prior to testing the fit of the parts.

Wow, you cut, bent, and painted the world upside down! That must have been quite the work?

Nothing model train wise, but I did upload a Solidworks animation of a Scottish Yoke mechanism to Youtube:

So if I get this right, this little doohickey could operate switch points and a turnout indicator on a switchstand at the same time?
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Theoretically, if you put the switch stand in the shaft of the rotating disk, and offset the yoke itself to one side (so the yoke's linear motion does not go over the shaft), then yes you could.

Your giving me ideas.

Eric "The Payne Train" put on the hurt  and made me weather his reefers using only this brush and only powders! Oh, the humanity!
