Where, exactly, is that part of an automobile located?  How do you access it?


Curious N scale modelers and others like me might be interested.   Na.... that is what mechanics are for.  Spend $$, use the time on the RR!

Some of us have more than one hobby.    I enjoy keeping my car's engine clean too.  Actually, I have too many hobbies: Never bored, don't watch much TV, but spend too much time in online forums..

I spend a lot more time practicing for my next concert than working on the RR (sigh).   I know lots of folks love working on cars. I don't and any time I do it usually ends up costing me more than it have if I had taken it to the shop to begin with !

It does look pristine ....

I have seen receipts that show $250 to replace the drive belt on my exact type car. I bought a belt for $30 and put it on myself. I hate working on cars, but can't afford not to.

Working on a position light signal controlled by a GAL - anybody remember those?
Pete or Chris - what is the recommended interval on changing spark plugs on those Scions?
My Tacoma has a 30,000 mile interval recommendation.

Chris doesn't have a Scion - my xB maintenance manual recommends changing the plugs every 30k miles.  But looking at the electrode wear and overall condition of the ones I pull out, they still have plenty of life in them. But then at $4 a plug, I can afford to spend $16 every 3 years.

My plugs are good for 100,000 miles, but I changed them at 80,000. They are laser iridium and $10 each.

Is that FUD or FXD 3D printing. Excellent painting. I bet that was a bitch to mask. How did you get a n scale auto with working hood?

Oh man.  It's been a solid 10 years at least since I've heard anything about "VTEC" and I've got to post one of those.

 . Vtec on a 6cy Honda means more power. On my car it just saves gas.
