Yes, MT had their new baggage/mail in CN colors and it was quite stunning.  Sorry, I did not take a pic, but it will be at your LHS in the next few weeks.  MT will be doing their whole heavyweight series in CN.  The series started last month with the CN express boxcar.

Also at the show were the Intermountain F9s in CN - beautiful!

Thanks Doug for that bit of info!!! My wallet 'bout jumped out of my pocket in shear fright.  :scared:

Yeah, it's tough to police model contest entrants to confirm that the models entered are their own work. The rules have been tightened in recent years but there are still cracks that people take advantage of.

Bryan is right, we try to tighten up the rules, but you can't deal with every possibility I suppose. One thing we did do is that if it won before, it can't be re-entered, but we will accept it for display.

We had some fun with the Swaparama set up.  you can see it here.  be sure to click full screen, it is pretty mind boggling how much goes into that part of the show.

Love the video, again.  Sure is a good looking guy down in the lower right hand corner.

We're not special enough to be "in the know"  :o

I reality, the breakfast seems to be more about what they are working on instead of hard announcements. I'm sure there will be some goodies at the next big show in a month or so.

I think a cover up is in the works!  :)   Either that or no one is working on any further products in N-scale.  I mean really,  if the only new thing at the show were the amazing Trainworx trucks - well that is pathetic.   :(

For the SP "brethren" out there, I asked Paul (from Atlas) if they might do an SP S-2 switcher (Tiger Stripe) and he said he had numerous requests. Atlas will also have the 40' "rebuilt" box car out as well. The other big news (as mentioned earlier) is that there will be TWO SP Baggage-Horse cars out. MTL is doing a 70' and Wheels of Time is doing the 80'. Needless to say, I'm a happy camper! :D :D

I'm not upset that Jerry entered the caboose I built. He also entered the 2-6-2 a while back and I remember seeing the card next to the model that said I had built it. Jerry added his own touch to both models.  Just funny the pieces that collected dust here got sent out to enter contests.

Who did this belong to? @dougnelson ?

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Guilty as charged.  Check out that PRR five-hole main block hook.  After I scratch-created it from styrene, someone produced it as a laser cut item.
I actually also had other models there:  the Shermans Creek bridge diarama, the PRR D70 diner, the G22 with containers, and the Baldwin Transfer unit.

New catalog will be out around the end of July.  It is going to the printer this week.

For all those that are upset about a lack of announcements please consider that it costs a lot of $$$$ to attend a convention; more so if it's dedicated to one scale as your can't get the benefit of appealing to other scale modellers.... also; we're only 7 weeks from the NMRA show in Portland; a lot of us are saving announcements for that show; and/or are making them outside the strict confines of a show. We have two N scale announcements coming up in the next couple of months; it simply not economically feasible to go to two West Coast conventions eight weeks apart for a small company like us and, I suspect many others... it's certainly not a slight on the N scale event; it's just economics.
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!
