Arnold U25C mu-ing?

I don't know if this question has been addressed before but if it has please forgive me. But I'm curious to know if the new Arnold U25C will mu with other makes of N scale diesel locomotives..i.e Atlas, Kato, Lifelike (Walthers) and such in DC mode?  Has anyone ever done a run comparison to see what will work or not?

I MU all my makes of locomotives together.   Sometimes, but not always, the faster locomotives need to be in front to avoid uncoupling.  Occasionally it doesn't work out at all, but usually I don't have a problem.

To put in another way...
A better question might simply be :  Is the Arnold U25C fast or slow compared to other locomotives?

it is very close to the speed of Atlas engines - it is slower than Kato - I MUed my Q unit with an Atlas GP40 and SD24, the NP unit works ok with I/M F units.

Mine ran fine with Kato U30Cs and SD45s, all several years old.  Not exactly the same speed, but they didn't seem to fight each other, and they stayed coupled.  The three made several laps of my old-fashioned DC layout, in both directions, with the U25C both leading and trailing, with no apparent problems.

We had quite a discussion on the issues with the U25C, all of which seem to have come down to assembly problems on the NP units.  If you have another road, you shouldn't have any problems, based on the comments in that topic.  If you have an NP, you may, or may not, have to do some work on the pickup system.  Out of the box, my NP units ran slower than the others, when they ran at all.  With a little work, they run as well as the others, and it was one o f them that I tested the MU operation with.

I only have one Atlas "slow" motored unit, and it isn't intended to be run with anything else, so I didn't unpack it to test.

I own two CB&Q and one NP Arnold U25Cs, they are all now DCC and the traction tires are gone. At 35 SMPH they all run within 2-3 SMPH of each other, without speed matching. My NP loco didn't have any problems, it ran great right out of the box.

Sounds like you're one of the lucky ones on your NP.  Since it was apparently only the NP units, and some of them were good, I'm hoping that future Arnold releases won't have any problems.  Other than the poor, but easily fixed, pickup these are very nice units, and I'm looking forward to more from them.
