Does Anyone Make an N Scale Bulkhead for Flatcars?

I have a bunch of 40' flat cars that I'd like to add bulkheads to. Over 10 years ago, I found some, but they were lost in the hurricane Katrina flood in New Orleans. I don't remember who made the bulkheads, but I'd sure like to buy some more.

No, the ones I'm hoping to find were made of plastic. The Gold Medal bulkheads look like they're too tall for 40' flatcars anyhow. Thanks, though.

Red Caboose used to make the bulkheads in 8' and 10' heights, maybe FVM will bring them back.

I googled but could not find it.  I think Precisionsion Masters or Red Caboose made some plastic add on bulkheads.  The Gold Medal bulkhead are easy to assemble and look great.

To Mark and Spades - I found a reference on the old Atlas forum that says Red Caboose made the bulkheads I was remembering. Dee mentioned that earlier in this thread.

To Bob - I'd rather not deal with Shapeways. Not as long as there's the (strong?) chance any bulkheads would need significant filing and smoothing.

Actually like spades mentioned,  before Red Caboose acquired them, they were made by Precision Masters.

Gold Medal Models bulkheads wouldn't be too tall for a 40 ft flatcar, but since they are a General Steel Castings design, used on the GSC flatcars, I don't know if any prototype 40 ft car ever had them.  Also, as detailed as they are, I'd think they'd look a little out of place on most 40 ft flatcar models available today.

Well it was not us however, we do have some bulkheads but these are not usually sold as separate items www.nscalekits.com There are bulkheads on the 60' flat cars, the 68' bulkhead cars, and the rebar 89' cars. The Precision Masters bulkheads were quite basic, so a few pieces of plastic would do just as well.  Cut the face from scribed sheet, then glue the braces to the back.  The braces could be cut from strip, with a cutting jig made from wood and brass strips, to get the angles right.  Done right, there wouldn't be any waste from the strip, and the parts could easily be mass produced ahead of time.  Use the brake wheel, and gearbox if it has one, from the flatcar.  I don't know what kind of brakewheel it comes with.

If you want to get fancy, cut the braces from 0.010 strip, and add narrow strips to the outer edges, to make beams, rather than just triangular braces.  Or, if you don't mind straight ends, like the GSC cars, the braces could be as simple as sections of styrene I-beam.  Prototype bulkheads, especially the railroad-built ones, came in a very wide variety of styles.

I want something in (simple) kit form, not something I have to fabricate myself. Why? I just recently tried to assemble an Intermountain 40' reefer kit after about 2 years since my last kit. It was just so frustrating, I gave up and put my reefers up for sale in The Trading Post. Seems I lost the knack for doing it.
