Thanks, Bryan, now I do not need to figure out how to get my crummy pictures out of my cheapie smart telephone.

The Fox Valley B&O waggontop is out.   As I could not get there Saturday, I had to wait until Sunday.  I did not even know that they were out.  I asked the FVM representative when they would appear.  He directed me to two dealers to whom he had sold a few cases.  ALMOST ALL GONE.  One had two of the B&O Chessie and three B&O mid 1950s to early 1960s (I bought two).   One had one Chessie and three blue B&O.  The 1940s to mid 1950s were GONESVILLE.  According to the two dealers, they vansihed as quickly as the dealers could put them onto the table.

I was not aware that there were so many B&O modellers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Upstate New York.  This, and the success of the Bachpersonn EM-1, are proof of what B&O modellers and fans everywhere have said for years:  "Every modeller and rail fan has TWO favourite roads; the B&O and one other".  I guess many of those who purchased Bachmann's EM-1 needed a caboose for it.

Some of the vendors had the latest issues of Wheels of Time baggage cars, but no B&Os.  They stated that they had been sold out.  Add this to the above as proof of the old saw about the B&O.

It looks like Second Runsville might be a necessary destination for WOT and FVM.  Can we get B&O promoted to that elevated status of First Tier Road, manufacturers?

MBK's site still does not show the FVM waggontop, although MBK may be sold out before they even arrive.

The MT RPO/Baggage was a pleasant surprise.   I had not read anywhere that MT had planned to issue it.  As many, if not most, of the RPO cars out there were Baggage/Mail, this is a good choice for MT.  I guess that it means that I do not need to try to cut up and squish together two full RPOs and baggage cars.

Definitely a good add... one that has been needed for a couple of decades!!!  Now to see just how close we can come to finding prototypes that might be able to be represented with this new model (the "Q" can be done in green or silver and for subsidiaries C&S and FW&D as well)... I'll bet few will complain about whatever roads MT does produce!!!

Other news...
Hornby SW1, early U28C versions confirmed.
Athearn working on a new engine and freight cars.
Exactrail working on a new freight car.
Deluxe Maxi IV have landed.
ESU will have an Android app for their system. They may also be working on a full CTC panel program.
BLI will start working on more N scale. They admit not knowing the market well, but after a slow start, the sales have really picked up recently.
Atlas C55 flex still impossible to find.
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Broadway Limited had the M1a and Centipede on display.

I like their signs. Shows some real effort there. :|

Micro-Trains officially announces the CB&Q mail-baggage car.

Is this the CB&Q class MTL is modeling?

Cool, looks to be a reasonable stand-in for an N&W BMf:

Thanks for taking the time to post these Brian.

Pudds, might want to work on toning down the golf ball sized rivets on the FL9 a little bit...

Come on, get it right...."Bowling ball sized"... not gold ball sized..... think of them as place holders......  :D
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Actually I think it is based on the CB&Q "MB-19" through MB-21" classes, "MB-19" 1915 - 1919 series, "MB-20" 1920 - 1928 series and "MB21" 1929 - 1934 series...

It is worth noting that the model will not be all that close to the "MB-22" class that Mark linked too (CB&Q 1945), which was also the class used by subsidiaries C&S and FW&D...

Looks to be a reasonable stand-in for an N&W BMf:

They will be what I like to call a "reasonable stand-in" for such a prototype but if you dig deeper into the details of the two cars you will find a number of differences, especially so in the splice plate area where N&W preferred, like the PRR, to have three vertical rows of rivets, not two as you find in most other prototypes (can be seen fairly closely in the shot of N&W 1206 on the baggage end of the car), while not all that good of a match the MT model would be "close enough" for most modeler's desires (still would need M&R Model's sides to do more unique ATSF and SP cars).  'course too, if someone wanted a closer model they could sand down the sides and apply Archer Surface Transfer rivets for a better match.
