Are you planning an open house again this fall?

Yep, we just got first notice from Mainline about this years tour.  As usual, it will be the third weekend in September.  Sept 15/16.  I'm not sure there will much new stuff over last year, but there will be trains running so that's always a plus.

I was able to get into the basement for a little bit today with the day off.  Decided to strip the lettering off of an MT SW1500 to create Vulcan #49448.  Prototype is ex NS 2203.  My version will be 2202 but who will know ?  I need to get some white stencil letters to finish things up.  This is Vulcan's primary motive power for loading the rock runner that originates at the mine.

Lookin' good.  But may I suggest, if this is a normal viewing angle considering the double deck plan, that you might want to take a black Sharpie and darken the frame and contact strips that are visible.

Work has finally calmed down a bit to allow me time to work in the basement again.  I picked up a backdrop kit from SceniKing to test out (only later to find out they are now out of business).    I need to do some blending at the top but I think this will work for this area.

And I was able to finish up another set of power for YorkRail.  These 2 GP15-1s are currently on lease from LTEX.  I now have 3 sets of power for YorkRail.  Seriously going to have to look at expanding their trackage or management is going to have to discuss cutting their fleet size.

Trackside Scenery, brother. Joey is the man when it comes to backdrops and being in Strasburg, Va he's close and if you need features like roads or streams cut in, he can do it.
