Mike:  The wet glue doesn't show, at least to me.  I like the reflection in the pond.  Very nicely done - most model ponds either reflect like mirrors, with no distortion, or don't reflect at all.

Messin' with sage.

For some reason that to me sounds like a name for a funny movie!  :D

BTW, nice tree (sage or no sage).  ;)

Andrew:  Sagebrush does make nice trees, especially for drier western regions, doesn't it?  Unfortunately it doesn't grow in Kentucky, so I've brought a bunch home from Montana our last two trips.

I got commissioned this summer to do a custom-build of the 65-ton Whitcomb now stored at Benwood, WV at the steel mill there.   I'm still making both the kits and custom builds.

The Benwood relic is pretty tired looking now.  http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5222/5565816133_71b5dfbd6a.jpg

It was modeled in 'better days' condition by request of the buyer.   Did this one with the 5.14:1 gearhead drive, custom directional LED lighting, and some other mods and details I haven't tried before.  This one was fun:

Nice build of a very unique locomotive. Is this locomotive all scratch built or a kitbash?

On a side note, Benwood, WV is across the Ohio river from Bellaire, OH which was made famous in the movie "Unstoppable" The railroad bridge that connects Benwood, WV with Bellaire, OH is the railroad bridge used in the movie with the curved approaches that was shown near the end of the movie.

That's pretty much my 'stock' Whitcomb resin kit, using a Tomytec TM05R chassis part (www.randgust.com) with the 'straight-side cab option, skirts cut off.    I did scratchbuild the master from styrene several years ago.

When I discovered that the etched steps I had made for the GE 70-tonner kit fit the Whitcomb as well, I added those to it.

Looks to me like they designed those cut levers from studying a CF7!  It must have run for quite a while or they wouldn't have done that - removed the footboards and made the 'behind the steps' modifications.

Finally added staging to the AC&Y Spencer project.  More in the Engineering thread.
Thanks to TRW community for the good advice on Unitrack a few months back.  I found the replies to be spot on.

Nothing railroad-related, as is standard for me thesedays.  But I wrapped up another 1/35 project that I'll share here I guess.  It's a Churchill AVRE with an Assault Bridge.  It's about 20" long and a few pounds what with the counter-weighting that needed to be applied to keep it from falling on its face with the resin bridge.

Finally getting the railroad back up at our new digs in Marietta, GA. Got some pieces back together but nothing is running just yet.  I have to finish out the other half of the basement yet, so will be awhile. The pieces moved from our home in Rochelle made it without too much damage. My goal I to have trains running by Christmas.

Progress continues on the FD2! I learned I could ruin a cheap pair of calipers by using them to carve deck seams. Not perfect, but better than nothing.

Daryl,
Looks like great progress, keep the updates coming! Must have been quite a challenge moving across multiple state lines! Best!

Our local 4th annual train show in Jacksonville, Ar. Our little group has been working on some modules built on HCD's, both in HO and N scale. Here are a few clips of a UP local running through one of the modules.
