Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Cool announcement.. but this is where I prefer painting my own...

4 MFGs doing 4 portions of a train end up with 4 shades of a color on a train that was all painted at the same location with the same color and brand of paint.

I hole heatedly support the effort.. but I'm going to get the Undec..  ~Ian

The price seems fair for a one-off and is the same as Lowel Smith's offerings.

BTW, I have accurate drawings of most of the CSX OCS ready for Silhouette use if anyone's interested.  I just have to press "cut."   8)

However, I know for BN, they never ran all of their cars, so some sat in KC longer than others, others experienced different types of weather. Also, not all of the cars were painted in executive colors at the same time, so for me, having different shades won't bother me.

I'm confused, but that isn't anythigng new.... Can you explain "4 MFGs doing 4 portions of a train end up with 4 shades of a color on a train that was all painted at the same location with the same color and brand of paint"

We are doing all four cars (and some follow up cars..oops, outside voice) so "who are the four MFG's.... ?" Maybe I'm missing the obvious............. :?

For what it's worth the 10-5 we are doing is 100% the right car for the Conrail OSC train.. (and CSX)..... sans the stationary bike..........

Yup.  I'm very happy Portman moved forward on the project. One less OCS car for me to do, and I can cancel my 10-5 undec order.  8)
