Do Minitrains HOn30 Passenger Cars come apart?

I know a couple of you guys have these cars.  I've been trying to avoid buying any which has been hard since my first 'layout' was a Minitrains set complete with foam tunnel.

But depending on the price, the new Forney may be enough to open the wallet but only if these things aren't all glued together.  Anyone know?

Thanks,

Jason

I have one apart at home. The roof has a little bit of glue, but popped right off. The set of 4 is a little bit goofy, soon as I can find them I will get more coaches for bashing/lengthening.

Thanks Chris.  Caboose is having a sale but there's not much in stock and no coaches.  Maybe I'll wait to see what if any sets are produced with the Forney.

I'd try to find a Kato truck with matching wheelbase to add pick-ups on the rear truck.

There is only one photo of it. Look at the Minitrains website.

2 for 1 passenger cars and a Forney

I wish you got a combine and 3 coaches with the set. You can buy each car separate, but I haven't seen them like that in the US yet. The clerestory windows are filled solid. The end rails pop off of the underframes. The roof edge rolls right around over to the letter boards. I planned to splice them and make 50' cars out of them. Oh and the brass Forney now goes around 10" curves.

This is my one major gripe with these cars. Seems like such a strange corner to cut, of all things.

I am already looking forward to the Forney, however. I really hope that these Minitrains releases spark a bit of a RTR HOn30 "renaissance," so to speak, much like the Bachmann On30 stuff.

Having gotten some HOn30 stuff from the estate of a friend of mine has me thinking about looking into it and possibly OO9.
