For a limited time, we are offering a 20% discount off your entire order from our ebay store  http://stores.ebay.com/willmodels

Call it a summer slump sale or whatever you want. If you've been thinking about placing an order, now's the time! This sale is for The Railwire Forum members only. To take advantage of the discount simply type your Railwire screen name in the comments section when you place your order. Be sure to wait for an invoice from us before paying so we can include the discount.

This sale starts today, June 18, 2014 and runs until June 30, 2014.

Some members are having trouble finding the place where you can leave a note to the seller. If you are having any difficulty with this, just drop me a note here on TRW's private message. Discounts are made through Paypal as refunds. Thanks for your patience!

Thanks for the discount Jimmo. I screwed it up and ended up paying already. I have had this problem before with the Buy it Now option. I missed the send me an invoice option. I figured we could deal with this offline, but wanted to post here so that others will be more careful than I.

Best wishes, Dave
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

It's ok Dave, as long as I know who it is I'm dealing with I can refund the discount. Since I don't know all of you members it's important to let me know that you are a Railwire member by noting with your screen name.

Thanks

Some cool stuff,  I was thinking before of maybe getting a prius or three to use as a taxi fleet but your store says you will only ship to our home address.  I can't really get packages at home so I send it all to my office.  Is this not possible?

Whatever address you have as your Paypal or ebay address is cool.

The reason we say that is because we had someone wanting us to send items to a friend's address and it turned out to be a bogus address. The ensuing back and forth and eventual re-shipment of the product was costly to us as well as a total waste of our time.

Jimmo.
Don't know what comments section you mean. When the items are in the cart, the only option is pay now.
Purchased Buddy's waffle shop, and an '84 Escort. If a discount is applied, sweet. If not, no biggie.
Been meaning to buy these for awhile. This was just a kick in the a$$.

Thanks!
Stephen.

When you make a purchase there's a place where you can leave a note for the seller, or at least there should be. ebay won't let me discount off the sales price only shipping and sales tax, so I'm just refunding the amount of the discount. Thanks for your purchase!

Question about the wheel sets... Some of the descriptions say "six pack"... does that mean six of what's pictured?

Yes, a six pack is six sets of four wheels. Except for the heavy truck wheels (NT-04), there are six sets of six wheels: 2 fronts and 1 set of tandems.

FWIW, I made a purchase but because there was no shipping charge on any of the items, eBay wouldn't let me request an invoice to leave a comment on.  So I commented with my payment.

Funny how eBay works differently for everybody.    I ordered bunch of items couple of days ago and I requested total from the seller. It was a bit of a challenge to find a place where to leave a comment, but I found it and left jimmo a comment.

When I deal with other sellers I know that when a request  for the total invoice is processed by the seller, the seller can add or subtract from the total (for a fee or a discount) I thought that jimmo would simply reduce the total amount by the value of the discount.  But instead jimmo just sent me a separate Paypal payment in the amount of the discount.

I guess there are many ways to skin this cat...

It seems that ebay is ever evolving. One time it works this way and the next time it works another way. A friend has informed me that the way private sales are done is with a coupon code. Next sale will be better organized. This was my first.

Thanks for you all for your generous response so far. You still have until Monday...

I thought I could simply discount the cost but ebay only allows discounts on shipping and sales tax--none of which I charge for domestic orders. The simplest solution was to send you the discount as if I was sending money to friends and family, which is not untrue since I consider all of you guys my friends and family.
