Walthers 3-4 Unit Well Cars

What is the proper drawbar spacing between cars on the DTTX 3 and 4 unit well cars? Came across 3-3packs and 1-4 pack.

I'm going to say ~3.5 to 4 feet between end platforms, based on, e.g., this shot:

I converted one of these sets to drawbars long ago.  I think I started with a strip of .080 x .125 styrene, but I'm not at home to check this now.  Here is a self-explanatory build sequence:






It has worked very well on the layout.
