Win8 is a disaster but my wife found some little tweak that makes it look and behave just like win7.

Not sure how picasa is being a problem.  I host all my pictures there no problem.  Just click on them, right click, copy image location, paste.

Problem with the new operating systems is that the programmers who wrote it think that they know better then you do as to what you really want to do, and they "help" you by doing things automatically for you.

Congratulations on figuring out how to post photos here.  All my photos, except for a dozen or so, are also on Picasa.  Some very prominent members of TRW have not yet figured out how to post photos here unfortunately.

Nice looking scenery.  Yup, the cows need to have a flat finish and any tree in cow country will have a flat bottom from the cows eating them as high as they can reach although yours are probably high enough so the cows can't get at 'em.

Also, there has to be a fence along the tracks to keep the bovines off the track, unless it's free-range, but it appears to be pasture.  Railroads don't like to run over cows as they usually have an agreement with the cattle owner to pay them for each head that is mowed down by their trains...which can get costly...including the damage to the train.

My critique aside, it's a nice-looking scene...very ordinary and the undulating ground is a great touch.

 I actually just put fence posts on the left side of the pasture this morning before work I'm doing the track side tonight. im ordering some E-Z Line Ala fujiwara.
It will also come in handy when planting power poles

Started coral fence and added some flowers beside road.
My comments are:
fence post too big but I'm afraid anything smaller will be too fragile
Road is not really this light I'm trying to figure out picture taking and editing

In-scale posts can be made from wire (painted the right color).  Very sturdy.  Things like brass rod or even paper clips or straight pins work well.

I'm surprised that the road is so overexposed - maybe your light source is too close to it?  Less illumination (lamp further away) and longer exposure might work, but you might need to support the camera with a tripod (another vital item for taking good photos).

Thanks for the comments. I was thinking of shaving down some bamboo even at scale size it should be pretty sturdy.
As I posted in another thread I only have an iPhone but Ive been trying some other apps and and some computer editing software

changed some fence posts and strung some wire (hair from my wife's brush) Think Ill wait for the E-Z line.
I went with .030 styrene rod. I think its pretty flexible and more likely to bend than break, and its what I had


With out the macro picture you cant even tell the wire is there, but we know it is. Now I have to do the track side of the pasture

A gate and a round, metal water trough along with a dirt-road turnout would be a nice detail touch here.  I use human hair for various projects, as well as cat whiskers.  Hair is surprisingly flexible and sturdy and comes in a variety of diameters!  One or two no-trespassing/hunting signs on the fence would also make the scene "lived in" too.

Yup, using a broader light source or two (I'd recommend one or two 5,000K  27 watt fluorescents in cheap [less than $10 ea.] clamp lamps about 2 to 2.5 feet above the scene), will get rid of the uneven light distribution problem.  You can also get a couple of 7' studio light stands for less than 25 bucks for added convenience and versatility.   Of course, just taking it outside is good too, except in the Winter or if it's raining.  Set your color temperature setting on your iPhone or camera to "Sunny" or "Daylight" with the 5,000K fluorescents, which are slightly warmer than noon-time daylight (5,600K), and represent middle/late afternoon or early/mid morning light.
