NCE Powercab - Locos not Responding

I first ran my layout with DC, to test polarity and trackage. Then I got my NCE Powercab a few months back and ran just one loco with an 003 address (because I only had one loco with a decoder).

Yesterday I picked up a second Digitrax decoder for a Fox Valley GEVO. I programmed the two locos with short addresses of the last two digits of each loco, and the long address. I made a programming track with a couple 9" pieces of Unitrack.  Everything seemed to go okay.

Then I plugged the Powercab to my layout and the Cab would turn on and off. An apparent short? Well, I giggled the plug for the track leads and then it seemed to stay on. I'm using 14 awg solid wire up to the plug, so the heavy wire may be leveraging the plug a bit. So I tried giving it slack. That seemed to work.

But then I select a loco, and it won't respond. No motor, no headlight. I reset the programming to the original settings, and reprogrammed it. Still nothing.

Also, I just cleaned all of my track very thoroughly before doing any of this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Noah

...I figured out this issue.

I had feeders crossed on a bridge I had removed. Naturally, it was the last of a couple dozen feeders I had pulled out their respective Posi-taps.
