My issue is that I KNOW this is not my forever house. Why spend thousands on benchwork and track to tear it all down at some point? Ill wait until I settle down and have my final space. Until then I what I have. Chris. I would be interested in what parts you use ect. Im at the point where I need to know where my structures are before I lay more track.

This is what the back of hardwoods looks like from the old layout:

And the vulcan building was twice as long on the old layout:

What I shortened it to now could be done with one kit since there doesn't need to be a back.

I'm not allowed to waffle. My grandmother would kick me out and/or throw away all my stuff.

Good to know thanks Chris. Its looking like most of the major structures will be against a backdrop. I just need to keep thinking outside the box for placing things on angles, ect.

I was wondering when that sweet freight station would turn up in a project again.   :D

Since I reversed it from the prototype to put the tracks in the front. Now that I'm putting the tracks in the back I need to extend the over hand on the roof for trucks and add timber bumpers.

So I got my door and my foam. This is my first time ever using Lowes blue/green colored foam. Glued them together with Glidden Gripper.

A little over 40 years of mags keeping an eye on things. Guess I'll give it 48 hours to dry  :?

And the Walthers Vulcan building will be called Republic Steel. Right down the road and thru the woods was the real Republic tin mill:

The place is still standing:  http://binged.it/1cSiN4G

Now I'm off to find this graphic:

What do you want to do with it? (TWSS)

I figured it could just be printed on paper and stuck to the ends of the building. Maybe sanded thin so the brick shows through.

Not that it's any help, but that is my Grandfather standing right under the cab logo:

He worked at their Youngstown plant.
