It's been a while, but finally finished up the wye this weekend!

Cork went down last weekend in the garage:

Moved it indoors for trackwork:

And back out to the garage for wiring and testing.  Everything works, except for the acetone based texture spray I tried out...

Also had gorgeous weather last night so me and a friend found a country road along the Amtrak route, drank some beer, gazed at stars, and watched the 5 and 6 speed through.

Noice; if you throw down a layer of latex paint the spray paint, in theory, should be fine, as far as I know

Yeah, that's what I'm going to try next.  However, the texture spray was intended to be a fast and dirty cover solution to the pink prairie, before the actual terrain shape is carved/worked.  For the extra step of putting down latex, I might as well just shape the terrain to begin with!

Should note, this is the Rustoleum Texture paint.  Testors Texture spray may be foam safe, I'll have to try one, however at 7 bucks per tiny can, might not be worth it.  Would be surprised if one can covers one module.

I finally plotted out the landscape for Holland Drive, Middle Loup, and Rosa Wye.  These modules are all operational and ready for scenery!

Finished up trackwork on the last of the groups 22 existing modules.  Everything we've got is now operational!
Hoping to have the first complete set up in two weeks.  Here's a possible arraignment, 35x25 feet.

Took the afternoon off to get some final tasks wrapped up for our Free-moNebraska test run next week.  In all the module building fun, I forgot to build 13 leg sets!

Was able to arrange all but 7 modules in the garage, so I went ahead and did some testing/playing.

Love the broad non-uniform curves Free-moN allows for!

First train, 45 cars no problems!!  That's even with one loco on point and one pusher!

So excited!

Way to make me feel behind on module building.  :|  Honesty, nice work!

My tools are in boxes for another month until I get into the new house and then FreemoN Las Vegas is going to try to catch up with your progress!

Or just take it into your own hands and start up your own mecca.  That's what this is for us. :)

The yard already on the drawing board!  Construction will likely begin immediately following our set-up this weekend.  :D

Yeah but, we have a decent base of N scalers around here, unlike what Wyatt has to deal with.
