Not all is lost "Paint"

Does Scalecoat still make their drying accelerator? I used it often. The paint would be dry to the touch in, like, 5 minutes.

Now , what manufacturer is going to make millions with a Floquil clone

Micro Mark has already released versions of the "top 10" floquil colors, amongst them grimy black, rail tie brown, etc. They are custom mixed by Vallejo. I haven't tried them yet, but it seems like they are really nailing the "filling of the niche."

#54 QUICK DRY

Direction:
For use on plastic, this additive will dry SCALECOAT from fast to immediate depending on the amount mixed in the paint. Mix up to equal parts to paint for immediate drying.  If mixed with the paint, thinner myst be added if it is to be sprayed.

Looks to me that this additive was made to make Scalecoat I plastic-compatible.  Since the Scalecoat II was introduced, there is no longer a need for this additive.
