Wouldn't it be easier to just stop coming in and logging in?

I'm guessing he was concerned about the data pipeline John and Tom have between TRW and the NSA. Or Google.

That request made me curious. Since he didn't post much, I looked over his posts. Looks like Joe provided some good feedback to others and enjoyed his stay here. Then he sold off some of his stuff and moved on.  Lost his interest in the hobby maybe?

I thought it looked like he came in, sold his stuff, and moved on.

I haven't met Joe, but we've corresponded via PM and email. He first contacted me after I mentioned in a post that I needed a couple Atlas code 80 turnouts to complete a yard, but couldn't find 'em anywhere. He offered to give me a couple. I offered to buy. He sent the turnouts and refused to provide an address so I could send payment (although I noticed from the postmark that we live in the same state).

Sounded like there was some upheaval in his personal life that was going to make it impossible for him to build the dream layout he had been stocking up for. But he's still quite interested in the hobby, as he's a regular operator on an immense HO railroad (30-some operators, 60-some trains per session). He invited me to join him some weekend, which I intend to do ASAP. And hopefully he'll join me for a smalltime session on my layout.

In short, seems like a damn nice guy. Hope he decides to participate in TRW in the future.

Jim

People come and go all the time .. most register, never post, never log back in, or drop off in a short time . they eventually get purged for inactivity .. .every once in a while, someone wants their account deleted .. it makes no difference, since all their posts end up in google anyway :)
