1>  I wish this was a kit.
2>  I wish this wasn't so expensive.
3>  I wish I could justify owning one, but cannot envision how I'd ever need one on any theme of layout I'd ever (if ever) build.

For kits, I can justify buying something I don't need or it's expensive because I'll enjoy building it.  But RTR stuff I really can't justify so much on.  But, man-oh-man, is that gorgeous.

That is a work of art. Congratulations on such a wonderful piece of 1:160 craftsmanship....

I have two places I've considered modeling that maybe could use something like that.   I've searched the most likely of the two high and low looking for something that massive but no luck.   I'm pretty sure you could find something similar (if not exactly) in the PRB, but for me to model the PRB would take a lottery-ticket-esque event.  (based on needed space, not the model's price....which I haven't even looked at yet)   That having been said...that's the type of vehicle that you could base a large N-Trak module off of...by itself.   That's a truly amazing model.

Any chance of getting one of these painted but UNASSEMBLED?  I've moved about 120 carloads of P&H mining equipment this year and would enjoy having them modeled?  Tracks the boom arms and the center base have been the largest load counts.

Sorry Joe, these come fully assembled from P&H.

Here are a couple more photos to illustrate the size of the shovel.

Does the power cable spool out? Sure is an amazing model and I'm hoping I can create a scene that will do it justice.

No Mick, that was added by myself so it would match my 1/50th and my 1/87 shovel.

I take it these will be in Springfield too? Can't wait for the wife to see this $400 impulse buy.

Better get her diamonds for Christmas.

I'll have the display models there. I already sold out of the original order I brought in.

Will need to know how many more to order so they get here in time.

Only $400?!  I thought it would be more like couple of grand.  They must be assembled and painted by some little old ladiy in China for peanuts!  :D

Hmm... I'd assemble
'em for termites...

The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Crappy phone camera shot, got it today (about 2 weeks after ordering iirc) so pretty snappy service. Thanks Bob, she's a beaut!
