I have been a model railroader off and on (more on than off) since 1964. In that time I have purchased most of the mags at my LHS which closed about 2005. Since then, I subscribe to only one mag. The rest of the info I now get from the net. I have 4 children, 25-35 years of age. None of them take a printed mag, only on line mags. How many here subscribe to Model Railroad Hobbyist? This is the future of model railroad publishing. Cry all you want, the days of printed material are drawing to a close, just like the days of the buggy manufacturer and the buggy whip maker. This may be harsh, but, if you want to keep using printed material, join the Amish, you can then also use a horse and buggy, kerosene lamps and other 19th century items.
