 Gosh Darn...

Those are so beautiful it makes me want to move to "My Home and Native Land".

Ooops .. I forgot  for a moment  ...  it is cold in Montreal, really cold, and that is why I live in Southern California.

But I do miss the CN !

I believe that in our lifetime, we shall see an Angus van RTR.

The balance of the paint schemes are "on their way" here - I will see if we have an update; and then they have to go to Prairie Shadows. I will see if I can snap a photo of the working markers..... up to my #@%#$@$#@ in transshipping "ugly green" (CN 1954 green and gold) FP9A's right now.....
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Here is a poor picture of a sample on may layout. I know the interior lights have been dimmed.

I won't see mine in person until December when I return to Canada, but I think that cool white interior light needs a little tone change.  The Tamiya orange marker will do the trick.   The marker lights are nice!

I think the interior light is a bit over the top but I do like the markers.  I plan on eliminating the interior light in mine.

The lights are more yellow than blue ,and I think they are too bright . Here's a pic after I tried shielding the brightness with electrical tape (They still look bright)

The lights are a bit bright - we're trying the old "marker on the LED trick" to dull them down on my sample model..... oh well; there's always something ! :D

How many vans does a guy running -9's need, Scott? Shoving platforms don't require interior lighting

MOW train.  I have it all figured out!  The GP40W's will be assigned to it as well.

Those marker lights are beautiful.

I wonder at the massively thick end railings when all the rest are so much more delicate. I thought it might be a prototype thing but looking at prototype photos it does not seem to be.  :?

The end railings are actually not any thicker than many other models but beside the wire grabs and irons they certainly look oversized. Painting them white doesnt help much either. That said, no model is perfect and maybe we'll figure out a better way to do it on a future model.... I wonder if you could remove them and install wire railings as a modeller's improvement... Hmmmmmm?
