PRR undecorated gondolas.

A shot that just showed up gives a decent reason to keep some undecorated cars around, if you are modeling a car shop...Altoona in this case.

There is another shot on the site of some hoppers in the same state.

Something I never actually thought about, there is going to be a time when the car is painted but not lettered that they will be setting around the yard.

The first link's photo is ITSY BITSY.. about 7/8 inch by 1-1/4 inches.

The second link doesn't load for me.

Hmm... I see full
panoramic images...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

I think the site server is overloaded. I struggled to get on at first. The e-mail announcing the new photo's was less than an hour old when I posted it. Probably a lot of people trying to reach the site at once.

Ha! Doug! NICE.

This pic is in "The Pennsy in the 1950s – The Last Great Decade" IIRC. Great find and thanks for sharing!

I like that title!
 :D

I'm a big fan of the war traffic of the 1940s, but the '50s were certainly a good looking era.

Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

I always understood that the premise of Undecorated meant that Decals were not required.

Agreed, how can you tell that they are PRR without any markings to designate them as such. Unless, there is something fishey in Altoona.

Since the photo was published in a PRRT&HS publication, I would assume they did their due diligence. But you never know.
Is this what you guys call "Ed's Law?"
