Did you leave the turntable pit in the ground?  If not, I still have the bridge... The electronics are shot in it, so it doesn't work, but if they can be reunited, perhaps there's something there... there....

Nope, I pulled it out.

Got any ideas what to do with it?

Frisbee? :D

I guess with the bridge It could become part of a static display...  I still have the roundhouse....  Rho and I don't really need that laundry room THAT bad...

Dammit.  Should have trenched a ROW into the wall before I installed the kitchen cabinets... :ashat:

It's still funny even with context!

No, I said "Ed's Law."

Damn, I have to go into the office today.

However, the office is RIGHT next to the place that sells Pollock Johnnies.

In other news, made progress on the yard office.

Ed, is that a dumpster besides the facility?  I would also think about adding a propane tank also.  You would be surprised by the number of ex PRR facilities that had them for heating.

Yep, it's a dumpster.

That's a good idea. I have a pair of them floating around, but I might go with something else.

More reference photos are always good too, if you know of anything good to detail it up. Randy's photos are helpful too.

I should probably go buy those PRR facilities books one of these days...

Thanks to all of the help in my DCC question thread (https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=35873.30), DCC implementation started last night.

Here's the overall setup.
There's a shelf (one of the Rubbermaid "extra shelf" wire ones from Lowes), supporting the PS2012 and DCS200.
Then there's a UP5, plugged into one of the ports on the DCS200. It's screwed in, and probably just a temporary location until more construction happens.
That's my throttle, hanging by the plug and with it's "extension cord" wrapped around a pair of cup hooks. Don't worry, I don't plan on leaving it hanging like that.
Power distribution is done on a board that lives on the shelf behind the DCS and PS2012.

Here's a closeup of the shelf.
I went with a wire shelf so I could route cables through it, and also for better airflow.

And here's the quick board I put together to do the power distribution.
Power from the DCS comes in at the top left, goes into that terminal strip (there for quick disconnecting), and then into the bottom one, where it's split into 4 different sub-districts. The PSX units will come off the lines to the left, but right now, I just attached the layout power directly (since only the equivalent of one whole sub-district currently exists.

I'm going to work on mounting a power strip to power it all in a more organized way this weekend, and then mount up the UR92, nice and high up.

It's not progress, per se, but in planning for the next phase of expansion, I wrote up a post about the general premise of what the layout represents:

Edd Just took a look at your basement dimensions.
Do you have enough headroom and time to do a mushroom layout to get all what you want in?
