My dear friends... Rome was not built in a day. Even if it's only 36 x 26"

Lee, I..can agree! I have been working on my benchwork. The individual (five) modules that make up this layout in (well the larger scale.) The fifth module is a 3 track staging yard. That idea came from the MR Virginian project layout.

I never did get this ship launched. My recent change of careers (not my idea) has limited my easy access to TV armoirs... Maybe some day. For now, I'm going to try to focus on getting a module together for Bedford. No promises, though...
Looking forward to see what you do with it, Thomas!

This thread has clearly not had any layout updates in months. It needs to be locked or moved, or something.

Yeah, just to bring everyone up to speed, my relationship with the ReStore ended about 3 weeks ago. No reason was offered, but I suspect the thing was growing faster than some of the higher ups were comfortable with. I was ready to take it to the next level, but I'm not sure the board was.
Oh well, it's good to go out on top. We were getting ready to turn our millionth dollar this summer. Hopefully they can still do it.
I'm going to refer back to this thread myself... maybe I'll pull it off in an article for the magazines. Maybe someone else will... Either way, time to come up with another plan.

Nope.
I don't do face book either. With face book I had way too many bad experiences, receiving information I did not need to know, from people I really didn't know that well
Just my personal opinion, but the more info you put out there, the easier it is for people to steal your identity.
Lee, sorry to hear you lost your position at the ReStore.

;)Progress has been made in the past week! Now that all 5 module benchwork frames have been built, I'm starting to build the legs. On a side note a few new cars have shown up(mainly CSX 3 bay covered hoppers).

Pictures or it didn't happen! Are you putting the modules into a TV cabinet per the original intent of the project?

Resurrecting this thread again. Apart from the obvious reality that my focus needs more focus, I am once again exploring some sort of modular set up that can be set up reasonably efficiently, taken down and stored in a reasonable amount of space, and carried in my truck for set up at shows and /or other people's homes.
I am not confining it to a cabinet this time, and I will be studying the MR "Beer Line" project, which was designed to be set up in different configurations.(i.e. a roundly round or a linear switching line.
At my disposal are four HCDs, one 32"x80", one 12" x 80" and two 14" x 80".
Like the original Oxford Branch, I want to focus on a PC era branch in the Delmarva Division.
The 32" panel would house the junction, perhaps a car ferry terminal, and a fiddle yard.
I still hope to include the swing bridge over a salt marsh described earlier.
I'll be monkeying on around with some sketches to see how far this goes before I change my mind again.
