We've visited here before; The ranch is an example of something that just didn't feel quite right - in two areas: the fence was clunky.  I rebuilt it into a four board fence, much more realistic IMO.  And the light in the garage up by the house was 'way too red.  Now it looks too blue in the photos but not to the eye.

Anyway, those are the changes.  Here's a long shot, followed by one a bit closer.

I'm also fooling around with a new camera which doesn't make these shots any easier...I was pretty well dialled into the old one and its' quirks, this one's gonna take some learnin'.

I just got a PM from Bob that his web ordering is live! GIT YOUR G22 GONDOLAS, SPFs!
Who wants to do decals?

Pud- I was unclear on yours and Lou's technique. Did you tape/waxpaper the outside of the car and apply the epoxy from the inside?

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Got twelve hulls for the 108' Edna G tug cast. Kit will be available soon, with custom brass. Messed up the stack (again), so I'll be starting on that again on Monday. Got the new master for the Santa Fe (and PRR) front superstructure done, as the first one wasn't suitable for a kit (too much finishing required). Got sidetracked by a new crisis down south--man, this saga is getting more Faulknerian by the day. I really should start writing it down, and changing the names later.

No modeling for me, but I got the Online Order system back online and processing orders.

Oh, forgot . . . New product for N-Trak will be in the store by Monday. PRR Lines East Signal Bridge just for N-Trak spacing.

Ordering might work but the rolling stock category links are turned off.  I think all that was discontinued wasn't it?  Just stock on hand, order via email.  I seem to remember that.

Preparation for the new D&H is all but done. Now just waiting for the timber to arrive and I can get stuck in.!
The track / boards on the floor are the staging from the old layout and all that was saved. All other track was pulled up and is being cleaned ready for its reuse

Ahhhhhhhh, Your talking about the website, not the store! Took me a few minutes (not had coffee yet) to realize where you are talking about.

The main page on the site has a link to the store or go directly there using this link.

I will paint the car in the grey and black "wiggle worm" livery, lightly weather it and then add it to the collection of purely unloved CN equipment I have......

Denial, denial.  They talk the talk, but in the end, we know what gets built!

I installed my first Hex Frog Juicer on the Seaboard Central this week.  Each Juicer only requires one set of buss wires (the red and yellow wires at left) and then one wire to each frog (the three yellow wires at top right of the Juicer).  As you can see, there's capacity for three more turnouts on this Juicer, and I'm fishing the wires through the hollow core door.  Everything is automatic, and it's fun to test the Juicer by watching the LEDs change when necessary.  That's three turnouts down, about fourteen to go on this HCD.

Here's the test train.  There's not a locomotive stalling, nor even a headlight flicker, which was a real problem on the turnout just this side of the plate girder bridge.  The frustration with that one turnout in particular (and one on the other side of the layout in Aberdeen) led to the commencement of this project.  Love it.

I wonder if I channel the "dark side" if I can get Atlas to make a GP 40W......all in ACTION RED PAINT THAT CAN'T BE REMOVED OR PAINTED OVER.............. Bwhahahahahahaha

The variation of Lou's method was indeed to use wax paper bonded to a hard surface that was clamped to the outside of the window and then filled from inside...works like a charm....
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

That would be pure evil...

Do you think this fill method would work with clear epoxy for window glass?
